Happy Summer to all. I realize I have completely skipped Spring on my Notes. I’ll catch you up since my last Notes Post. The Winter Season provided me some downtime to make new additions and upgrades to my Studio at home. Transitioning to a new system provided some challenges to learn even more about Composing and Producing. My good friend Dennis Johnson did his best to help me through the painful hump of installations and new setups. The Grammy’s were finally back on schedule in LA and I attended many functions and saw many music friends and colleagues in the music business. It was a great show this year with one of my favorites Stevie Wonder and many other great performances. Bonnie Raitt finally got her due with Songwriter of the Year. I was invited to play at Berks Jazz Festival in March and to be a Clinician in the Jazz Education Seminars for Students. I met many new Artist friends, connected with old ones and heard a lot of great music while I was there. I’ve performed in other shows throughout the Spring in Athens, GA, Eatonton, GA, Byron, GA, Atlanta, GA Birmingham, Alabama, Kluster TV (Roku TV) with Riva Blue, and a Live Interview at WCLK all of which have really been a lot of fun!! Spring has been a great time for my music. I released “Magic Mirror” Single to Radio March 27. It has received enormous support from Radio and my fans, many citing it as one of their favorites of mine. To date it has the Status of being #1 for many weeks on all the Smooth Jazz Airplay Charts and #2 on Billboard Smooth Jazz Chart. (See Carol’s News section). A surprise release coming up for my fans is my Vintage Live Classical Album “Time Sensitive” which I recorded while I was at Georgia State University. It has been in storage since that time. I pulled it out, had it transferred from Reel-Reel to Digital Format, Mastered and will have it available on July 7 on all Digital Streaming Platforms and Physical CD’s for purchase through my website. It can also be presaved on Spotify and Apple Music. It includes works by Bach, Schubert, Brahms and Prokofiev. If you would like to Pre-Order a Digital Download Album - go to my Store. I continue to write new music now that I’m more familiar with my new system. I still spend a lot of time on Google searching for “how-tos”. New works are in progress and will keep you updated as new tunes become available. Please try to catch one of my Live Shows coming up.
